What’s nearby the venue?
Millwick sits in the heart of DTLA’s Arts District, one of LA’s most creative and eclectic neighborhoods.
With great food, drinks, art, and plenty to wander into just around the corner, there’s lots to discover beyond the wedding.
We hope you’ll make a little getaway out of it and enjoy what this city has to offer while you’re here.
We hope you enjoy the city as much as we do!
Must try LA food spots
California is fun & beautiful place, rich in culture, filled with delicious food and a great home for the creatives.
Here are some of our favorite food spots that we recommend that you should try during your stay.
IN N OUT BURGER
California Staple Burger
This burger is straight to the point and very affordable. If you are visiting California, this is something that you MUST try. Line can get really long tho, so plan accordingly.
Recommendation: Double double with animal style fries
CHUBBY CATTLE
Japanese BBQ Restaurant
AYCE Wagyu!!! The best yakiniku in LA! It’s $70 per head but for what you are getting, it’s WORTH IT!
Recommendation: Gold Tier
BESTIA
Italian Restaurant
Hipster, vibey and DELICIOUS!
Recommendation: Bone Marrow Gnocchi Pasta
DAIKOKUYA
Japanese Restaurant
They have 2 locations the one closest to Millwick is not as vibey as the one in Sawtelle. Food is still great tho. The one is Sawtelle’s interiors reminds you of the streets of Osaka.
Recommendation: Spicy Miso Ramen or Black Ramen
BIRRIERIA SAN MARCOS
Mexican Food Truck
Best Birrieria we had so far! Affordable and delicious!
Recommendation: Queso Taco Birreria with Consume
CHUY TACOS DORADOS
Mexican Food
One of Daniel’s favorite crispy taco spots. It’s straight to the point, budget friendly and most importantly delicious.
Recommendation: Potato Tacos
TATSU RAMEN
Japanese Restaurant
They have really good noodles & tastes clean. You have to order through a kiosk and a better alternative for Daikokuya if the lines are really long.
Recommendation: Bold or Red Ramen
BAVEL
Upscale Mediterranean Food
If you want to try it, make sure you reserve ahead of time. This is one of those restaurants that no dish is not a favorite.
Recommendation: Lamb Neck
KICKIN KASIAN
Seafood Boil
Maiqui risk her life for this each time. This is the shrimp boil that she can eat for the rest of her life. Far from DTLA but worth the drive.
Recommendation: Traditional Shrimp with Kickin Mix
