About Us

We are a fun, adventurous couple who are very different in many ways, yet surprisingly, all the pieces fit together.
We are so different that only God could have introduced us at the perfect time, in the most unexpected way.

Like day meeting the night, we are found where the sun rises and sets.

Our Story

Downloaded bumble.
Found my husband.

I wasn’t looking for someone to complete my life when I met Maiqui. I was happy with the life I had, but open to finding someone I could build a future with. We met on Bumble in April 2023, with low expectations but the same hope that, if we were lucky, we might meet someone worth building a life with. Our first date was supposed to be dinner in Pasadena, but turned into hours of walking, talking, dessert, and getting to know each other. Over the next few months, I found myself drawn to everything about her—her beauty, faith, humor, energy, adventurous spirit, and how effortlessly we understood each other.

By August 4, I knew she was someone I could genuinely see myself building a future with, and I asked her to be my girlfriend.

Somewhere along the way, our adventures became our everyday life: camping with Tux, road trips in the Land Cruiser, cooking dinner together, spontaneous pizza runs, or simply ending the night on the couch with a movie.

And I realized that those ordinary moments were just as meaningful as the big ones. Three years later, every adventure, challenge, quiet night, and difficult conversation has only made me more certain that she is the person I want beside me through all of life’s seasons. I loved the life I had before Maiqui—but she made me want to share it.

The first time Mommy and I met, I knew I had found my favorite human. I trusted her the most, and we always understood each other. Until one day, I stopped seeing Mom for a while, and things seemed very different. I wished I could see her more often, so I waited and waited. Then, after two years, we were finally reunited!!

I thought I was never going to see Mom again, and I’m so glad we’re together again! She also told me that this time, we would be together for good. I was the happiest boy and was so excited to be with Mommy forever!

I finally got to sleep with Mom in this big bed. I had a big grassy front yard, a backyard, and three other beds around the big house! I had the best times with Mom, and I’ve seen her through every chapter and every heartache. It makes me sad to see her sad, and it makes me happy to see her happy. I love how it has always been Mommy and me against the world.

Then one day, while I was waiting for Mom at home, she came home with this guy. I felt at ease with him right away. He was gentle with me and cuddled with me right away. I thought, “Maybe I could welcome him into our pack.” He seemed really nice.

As I saw him more often and watched how he took care of me and loved me just like Mom did, I grew to trust him more. He always puts us first, and more importantly, he loved Mommy just as much as I love her. Eventually, I figured maybe I could trust him to take care of Mommy and I. After all, Mommy looked happier with him too.

He also makes me the best dinners and tucks me into bed. It’s one of my favorite things to do before going to sleep. He also loves joining us for my birthday parties! I now have even better birthdays with him around! I think he is the perfect dad to love and protect Mom and I.

Dad takes me on a lot of camping trips, which I don’t enjoy as much. But as long as I’m with them, I figure I’ll be fine. I’ve just learned to tolerate camping. As long as Mommy is holding me, I think I’m okay.

I love it when we go to the beach, though, or anywhere with BIG open fields!

I can’t imagine my life without the three of us. It just feels right.

I’m excited for more adventures, more cuddles, and lots and lots of wonderful memories as a family!
